I have been an advisor since 1998 and am passionate about what I do. The misfortune experienced by a close-relative has in part fueled my drive to help and protect clients and their assets. Right before the Great Financial Crisis, my close-relative retired, relocated and befriended someone who took advantage of him, leading my relative to believe that he could get rich quickly (by speculating on regional real estate and making other risky types of investments). For the first time in his life, my relative felt like he had some money and could be more aggressive in trying to dramatically increase his net worth. Even though I pleaded for him to reconsider what his friend was suggesting, he proceeded to withdraw all of his retirement savings and refused to do any tax-withholding. My relative had always lived a conservative lifestyle, which I admired, but I'll never forget when he told me "you're too conservative for your own good." Less than a year later, he lost everything and was forced to mortgage his home; until then, it was owned debt-free. My relative needed to borrow against his home to pay the taxes on his retirement savings withdrawals. At that point in his life, he didn't have the ability to make up for a mistake of that magnitude.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Culver Stockton College (Missouri). And, I earned my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM certification in 2004.
I am married to Eddie and have two children, Buddy and Johnny. I have residences and offices in Arizona and Wisconsin. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and watching my sons' sporting events, as well as swimming and boating as a family.
